ELOGE DE LA FAIBLESSE

Alexandre Jollien, étudiant en philosophie, handicapé moteur cérébral de naissance, fait état de son expérience en institution spécialisée sous la forme d'un dialogue avec Socrate. Cet entretien, où il est question de la différence et de la « normalité », est pétri d'humanisme.--Alexandre Jollien, a student in philosophy who has suffered from a motor disability since birth, gives an account of his experience in a specialized institution, in the form of a dialogue with Socrates. The discussion, profoundly humanistic, treats themes such as ‘difference' and ‘nomality'. ‘Alexandre Jollien's book is infinitely precious to me because it provides a living, sincere and genuine testimony of that ancient (being Aristotelian) conviction, which is nevertheless constantly under threat: that man can be, and is, the friend of man.
