Portraits of Interiors Axel Vervoordt (Auteur)

A home should be an oasis, a haven that fosters a sense of well-being and joy.For a half-century, Axel Vervoordt-world-renowned interior design firm and art dealer-has drawn from diverse cultural traditions and eras to create singular homes all over the world. Today their projects feature a range of traditional, Wabi, and contemporary elements that are rooted in the past and connected to the future. This volume brings together seventeen residences-including their first work in Japan, Russia, and India-that range from urban penthouses in New York and London, to a Wabi barn in Flanders and a Venetian palazzo, to a coastal home in New England and an island retreat in Ibiza. Each home's unique atmosphere inspires serenity and blends art, architecture, and nature in an alchemy of Vervoordt expression.
